  • Special Medical Interests: Preventative medicine, chronic disease management, under-served urban medicine
  • What's his secret to being a good doctor: Establishing a relationship of trust, mutual partnership and patient-empowerment.  I like to listen to patients and try to understand the whole perspective of health and illness.
Dr. Michael Chen became a Family Physician because he sees health not just as an issue of the physical, but of the mental, relational, and spiritual.  He is honored to be a trusted part of his patients' lives and wants to be part of helping people to live healthy, purposeful existences.  Dr. Chen believes that God gives us all wonderful gifts, and a life well lived is one that glorifies his or her Creator with those very gifts.

When he is not at work, Dr. Chen loves to spend time with his family.  They enjoy cooking, eating, playing guitar, quiet evenings at home, exploring the outdoors, photography, and fellowship/teaching at their church, Trinity Church in North Olmsted.  He also leads the Northeast Ohio Christian Medical and Dental Association and does a weekly radio interview with Moody Radio WCRF 103.3 FM at 6:30 AM on Tuesdays.
